Aftercare Instructions
Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
Good aftercare is your responsibility, please follow our instructions
Tattoo Aftercare
- Leave the tattoo bandaged for a minimum of 3 hours and no longer than 12 hours.
- After the bandage is removed, lightly wash the area with your clean hand and an unscented antibacterial soap.
- Pat dry with a clean paper towel and leave it uncovered to air out for around 10 minutes.
- Once fully dry, wash and dry your hands before applying an unscented lotion.
- Aftercare can be applied around 3 or 4 times a day for at least 10 days until the tattoo is no longer peeling.
- DO NOT scratch, peel or pick your tattoo ever.
- During the healing process you are likely to notice flaking and certain little pieces of tattooed skin falling off as if it had been sunburnt. This is completely natural, please do not pick or peel anything off of your new tattoo, anything that needs to fall off will do so on it's own as it is simply the layer of damaged skin from the tattoo process which is being discarded by your body.
- Please do not rebandage your tattoo. If you need to keep it covered for any reason, loose clothing can be helpful.
- Keep it out of the sun for 2-3 weeks, and once healed, always apply sunscreen to your exposed tattoos.
- Do not go in pools, hot tubs, or any bodies of water for at least two weeks to avoid infection.
Piercing Aftercare Instructions
Follow these guidelines to ensure your new piercing heals properly
General Piercing Aftercare
Never put alcohol or anything but sterile saline solution on your piercing. Good aftercare is your responsibility, please follow our instructions:
- Wash hands and spray piercing with a sterile saline solution without touching the jewelry with your hands or a cotton swab, do this twice a day.
- Let the piercing air/drip dry. DO NOT dry it off or pull off "crusties" or any skin/skin bubbles.
- DO NOT touch, twist, push, or pull jewelry ever.
- NO swimming for 90 days.
- Swelling, soreness, blood, and yellow fluid are all normal (bright green fluid is not).
- Tip: Spray the saline after a warm shower to soften the possible "crusties".
- Do not sleep on your piercings while they are healing, it will likely feel uncomfortable, but even if it does not it can cause the jewelry to heal in a crooked direction to your ear at best, and at worst it will prevent the piercing from healing entirely.
Oral Piercings only
Follow above aftercare for the outer lip in addition to:
- Use alcohol-free mouthwash every time after you eat, drink or smoke for the first month, then twice a day after that.
- Spicy foods are not recommended during the healing process due to possible irritation.
- No alcohol for at least two weeks and never use alcoholic mouthwash.
